A note from the Chairman
I have just returned from an amazing buildingSMART Summit in Tokyo Japan attended by 469 people from 24 countries, working together to create open digital standards for the built environment...
A round-up of the International Standards Summit 2018
buildingSMART's latest International Standards Summit 2018 was a “tremendous triumph” according to organization Chairman, Patrick MacLeamy. The latest summit in Tokyo extended its focus and commitment to deliver more standards, more tools, more solutions and more focus on the entire asset lifecycle.
This year's awards program was the most successful yet. One of the award winners was so inspired by their award they made a short video. See how Bouwcombinatie Pontsteiger reacted to winning a buildingSMART award.
The second annual infraBIM Open event is open for registration. The first year brought together more than 400 participants from 17 different countries. Secure your place here.
Professional Certification
The Professional Certification Program exists to support training organizations to deliver internationally standardized and recognized training content. This is providing the industry with an assured standard of professional competence. The program goals are:
To standardize and promote openBIM training content
It is open for the public to sign-up, for free. No buildingSMART membership is required.
It will be moderated by buildingSMART community experts from all over the world.
