The PRSC held a workshop in Brussels Belgium from 21st to 23rd September. The event was led by PRSC chair Michel Bohren and well attended including 12 people physically in the room and another 3 taking part online.
Guest speakers from Schindler, Site-Log, and Stora Enso set out the challenges that product manufacturers face when making use of openBIM in their day-to-day business. Common themes included product and sub-product classification, construction logistics, sustainability, loss of data at different design stages and collaboration. The workshop also heard about product data templates for timber products and the Asset Operations Handover (AOH) project from Jeff Ouellette.
Radboud Baayen of the PRSC held a session on direction and objectives which will contribute to the development of the Product Room Roadmap.
