Information Delivery Specification (IDS) v1.0 is Approved as a Final Standard
Read this article to find out why the Final Standard Status for Information Delivery Specification (IDS) v1.0 is a significant advancement in defining and implementing openBIM workflows...
Explore how the Information Delivery Specification (IDS) defines information requirements in a computer-interpretable format, enabling automatic compliance checking of IFC models, enhancing quality control and data fidelity, facilitating efficient data delivery by setting clear exchange guidelines. IDS ensures interoperability, clarity, and consistency in project data, making it essential for automating data exchanges and validating information in BIM processes. It supports various industry standards and integrates with tools to streamline compliance and improve project efficiency.
Explore the buildingSMART Data Dictionary (bSDD) service which offers standardized definitions for describing the built environment, ensuring consistent terminology across software solutions. It is free to use and integrates international classifications, national standards, and company-specific terms. Users can access and publish data, ensuring interoperability and quality control in BIM processes. The bSDD supports various user groups, including designers, BIM managers, contractors, and software developers, facilitating transparent and efficient data management in construction and infrastructure projects.
